Ashmore State School

I want to school from 1-6 only had slight problems with some of the teachers other than that I enjoyed the time there, mrs Telford is an awesome teacher that helps her student a lot, the office lady’s are extremely friendly and nice from what I can remember never really had a problem with anyone except for like 1-2 teachers within my whole life experience there

Fabulous School. The Principal and all staff have always done above and beyond for my son. Highly recommend this school especially children with special needs. Inclusion is the schoool's passion.

The experience I had with this school was not a very good one and my kids suffered due to incompetent office staff and a halfwit principal. We live right on the border of catchment and rang the school and were told to come in and bring the kids for an interview. After the interview we were told by office staff we were in catchment and proceeded to enroll the kids on the Thursday. We were told by the deputy principal that we could bring the kids in on the Friday for a few hours to help my 7yr old son and 5yr old daughter settle so we did. We also spent $500 on uniforms. Monday and the kids are super excited for their first day of school so we drop them off only to get a call later on in the day to say we need to pick up our kids as they are not in catchment and can’t attend the school. After some to ing and fro ing and calls to the minister of education the principal had already decided she was not going to budge on the decision for our kids to attend. My wife has had to take time off work and the kids now have to go through the entire process again at another school. All of which could have been avoided if they had competent office staff or a principal who has the kids best interest at heart. Pathetic

Amazing school with great staff and teachers. My son went from prep in a private school to year one at Ashmore and he is now excelling both academically and socially. Would have no hesitation in recommending Ashmore SS

Fantastic school! My kids are so happy there. Great friendly atmosphere, wonderful teachers, couldn't be happier.
