My partner and I attended the Kongwack markets on Saturday. We parked by a sign that was facing away from the direction of travel so we presumed it was a continuation of the last sign we saw regulating parking to 2h. Wrong! It was a no parking sign resulting in a $150.OO fine from the revenue collector. This is what could only be considered a cynical cash grab by the South Gippsland Shire. If they do not want to support the efforts of those attracting visitors to the shire to spend money they should close the market. Let Kongwack return to the moldy decaying ghost town of the past. My message to the shire is you have lost more than the $150.00 you screwed me for. I will not be spending a cent in your area again and will spread the word. Keep an eye on social media.

I was driving along the road from Leongatha to Mirboo North the other day and noticed the enormous amount of yellow signs stating that the 'surface was rough and uneven' dont you think it would be better to actually fix these problems properly.

Complained to them twice, they did nothing.
