Masonmill Cafe, bar, beer garden and function centre

UPDATE 2021nWe went back recently to enjoy the beautiful garden and food. And we came out feeling loved! I enjoyed my Roast Pork Belly and a lovely stroll. The roses are just gorgeous, well maintained. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended restautant.nn******nGreat food, idyllic place and good play space for the kids.

Always enjoy Masonmill eatery and walking around their beautiful garden area. Recently returned celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary. We had our ceremony in the rose garden here so it very special to us. The development of the gardens, children's play area and restaurant is quite outstanding. Delicious food! Freindly greeting, easy accessible with plenty of parking and hygiene standards respected.

We called in for afternoon tea today. Lovely grounds, but we waited nearly half an hour to be served a cup of tea, iced mocha and apple pie. The apple pie was cold in the middle and pastry so soggy we couldn't take it out of the foil dish it was served in because it had lost all structural integrity. We'd heard great things about this place, but we won't be back unfortunately.nnAdd on comment following their response: we had originally gone to the Lodge as directed on their website. We were advised the coffee machine was exploding and to head up to the restaurant where it would be quiet and we would get served quickly. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we were there, with many empty tables covered in used dishes which weren't being cleared. Tables were leaving, not arriving at that time. I understand Sundays are busy and for a cooked meal we would have expected a wait, especially closer to lunchtime. But it was quiet and it wasn't busy. We went back inside regarding the pie but staff were standing around talking in the kitchen and not paying attention. We were tired and just gave up at that point.

What a wonderful day. From the friendly and helpful staff, to the stunning scenery, to the delectable meal. My husbands drink took no more than 7min to arrive and they refunded us for the delay! I really could not fault the place. Highly recommend the steak on a stone with a glass of Cab Merlot. What a treat!

Beautiful venue and food. Really enjoyed our day there. We went when the roses weren't in full bloom but still amazing. We took our kids to the koi pond and they absolutely loved it. Great family day out. Nice place to take visitors for lunch
