Cairo Cafe, Cannington

I was quite disappointed with the food and service at this place. I thought after the rave reviews that I would try it for my birthday/belated mother's day dinner.nThe place was busy which I can understand but people were ordering after us & getting their food before us. We waited over an hour for our food and when it came out it didn't taste very good. Our steaks weren't cooked evenly, one side overcooked and 1 side rare. Our other family member ordered steak sandwiches with a side of chips. The chips & the steak sandwiches should've come out together. We also didn't get our meals at the same time so we didn't eat together. The wedges were in clumps on the plate, not enjoyable at all. My daughter found the kids skewer to be a tad spicy. It did have a tiny bit of spice at the end. I didn't expect this being on the kids menu.nThe manager is walking around wearing socks with crocs which I don't think is suitable for a workplace. He did give us some baklava to take home which was a nice gesture but I won't be returning again.

Awesome food and service. Great place to take the family. New Buffet menu is good value. Highly recommend a visit or two.

When the owner is there, you will have a better experience. Food is great but inconsistent, hit and miss really. Under staffed. Big place, plenty of seats. Kids friendly. Floor is slippery due to vinyl. Could do better with cleanliness.

We just had an event at Cairo Cafe Cannington, which was beautifully presented, really well organised and a great success.nnAmazing food, warm welcome and a generous portion of their best in town PRIME RIB STEAK and charcoal chicken. Don’t miss out guys!

Coffee was creamy and delicious.nI will go back for a breakfast menu. Probably dinner also. It's a great menu.
