Probably the worst dining experience I've had.nnI visited this place as part of a tour and got a call the morning of, asking if I had any dietary requirements. I said that I am not allergic to anything but that I dislike fish. They said, no problem - see you soon.nnWith no menu, I trusted the staff to deliver according to my preferences. The first course included crayfish bisque, tuna and also caviar on a pork ball. They said 'we know you don't like fish, but we think you'll like it'.. We didn't, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We then had some bread before our next course which was literally just fish. This is where I spoke up and said that I specifically said I disliked fish. They then said that by the time they spoke to us, it was too late to change the menu, when we asked why we weren't contacted earlier then? They said that they tried to contact our tour group and got no response, so they contacted us instead (but by then it was too late).nnThis is where I stand, how would the the tour group have known our dietary requirements in the first place? They obviously had our details to call directly but by the time they did it was too late. But mostly, what kind of restaurant can't adapt for one adaption, 4 hours in advance. We had no opportunity to tell them prior ourselves.nnSo to shorten a huge review, we over $500 for a meal that we told them we didn't want, we paid for a wine pairing that come out without being explained and totally separate to the food and dealt with a extrememely rude and unpleasant manager who was totally unapologetic. Even the non-fish food was extremely average and everything was tiny, we were starving when we left.nnThis is the first negative review I've ever written for the main fact that I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Great ambience and fantastic food. Loved every course. Can't wait to build up an appetite and return for more.

Delicious degustation with matched wines, with friendly and efficient service. The crayfish pasta was a highlight, but all courses were divine. The garden - a mix of bird attracting natives with a kitchen garden further afield - makes a beautiful setting perfect for a long lunch in the autumn sun. Highly recommended. We will most definitely be back.

We had the trading player at lunch and it was incredible. The staff here are amazing. Thankyou.

We were so looking forward to coming back to Arimia but we’re so disappointed. Service was dreadful, we asked to taste 2 white wines before we bought a bottle. First waiter said no problem second waiter told us he was too busy? So ordered glass of each and his attitude was terrible. However on we went, we chose our wine and tried to cheer up. Next no menu, but tasting lunch, so ok that’s not what we’d expected at our return journey but ok. First course great, really good, but that was the end of the good food. What followed was grainy flavourless Japanese fusion of sorts. Left still hungry. Won’t ever go back.
