Hooked On Middleton Beach Fish & Chips

This establishment was highly recommended by several people. I was disappointed with the experience. I had plain grilled snapper and to my surprise, the fish was served wet. I don't know what the cause of this was and from a price perspective, it didn't warrant the charge.nnIt wasn't horrible by any means, but it wasn't spectacular which what others were proclaiming.nnStaff was friendly, service quick, good selection of fish.nnDecor was beach shack chic, rather than restaurant, so don't expect to come here for a candle lit dinner.nnParking was great.nnWorth a visit.

Not a big ‘fish and chips’ fan but I must admit this is probably the best I’ve had for sometime. The batter was delightfully light and crispy and the serving sizes were huge. Only negative was the extra charge ($2) for crumbed fish which is something I’ve not encountered before.

Tried this place for the first time.nnVery nice fish. Light crispy batter, yummy Cobbler and Spanish Mackerel. The standard fish for the fish n chips is imported Hake. Not fantastic but perfectly alright. Chips were pretty average.nnI think they forgot to salt the chips or didn't put enough salt. They were quite bland.nnPineapple and banana fritters we're good.nnMore upscale and expensive than our usual (Albany Fish and Chips) but overall everything we had was better, except the chips. No crisp, chewy and not salted (we asked for chicken salt).nnWill definitely come back again to try other items on the menu.

Nice and close to the beach and park. Food quality wise is good, probably a little bit on the pricier side but worth it. Only thing this time around, they forgot to salt our food so my partner walked back to the restaurant to grab some salt and let them know but didn’t apologise for it or anything. Other than that - good feed. Grilled fish was delish and fried food wasn’t too oily.

Good fish and chips. Wine was good and well-priced. Lovely staff.
