Hands down the best coffee I have ever experienced. I say, experienced, because it wasn't just the taste - it was the aroma, the perfect temperature, bespoke pottery that meant you could hold the coffee in both hands, wrapped tightly & bring it slowly to your nose before sipping gently, closing your eyes & savouring every delicious sip. A caramel yet fruity flavour - syrupy & strong. The clink-grind of that pottery next to the ornate silver spoon; I stirred that coffee & watched the crema linger. My fingers thumbed the stamped & glazed name of my now favourite place to experience coffee - El Estanco.nnI had the house blend by in-house coffee roaster Charlie Black - I even bought a bag of beans to take home. ☕

The new place has made its own stance in Greenock just across the road from the old place. They sell local wines and beer from Greenock, plus others from Australia.nnThe food menu is a little limited but the flavour and texture of what they offer is very nice.nnGiven time, the outdoor area will be even more inviting as shrubs need time to grow.nnGreenock is a great little town, and El Estanco is well situated in the new location.

Beautiful food with a nice latinamerican touch. Coffee was very good and all desserts looked delicious. Also loved the atmosphere.

Very disappointing, my breakfast was served up cold. Fried eggs were overdone to the point that the yolk rolled off my plate onto the table. The bacon still had rind on it and tomatoes were stone cold.nI understand this happens from time to time but when you give feed back to management regarding the meal and then get told you’ll get 50% off that’s what annoyed me the most.....Cmon guys really ?!!nAs a local you won’t be getting any rave reviews from me which will be a bigger loss than the $20 you still made me pay, think about that the next time you make someone pay for half a meal. One star was for the coffee ud83eudd37‍♂ufe0f

Had lunch with my partner here last Saturday and it was delicious. For entree we had the chorizo dish (txistorra) and it was scrumptious. The flavours really blended well together. For main we chose the prawn and steak dishes plus a side of sour dough to share and again very flavoursome and well cooked.Only downfall for me was the blood sausage with the prawn dish was a bit overbearing.Staff were ultra friendly and efficient. We couldn't fit in a cake from the display cabinet after lunch but they looked yummy also.
