Australian Science & Mathematics School

The school is amazing. The curriculum is ingeniously designed to incorporate traditional subjects into a fun and engaging curriculum that relates to real life. The schools works in unison with Flinders University so students have access to many of the university's facilities and the school also functions like a university, it is very self directed and collaborative. All the teachers here are amazing at their jobs, many of them have previous qualifications in science and math, some are astrophysicists. Many of them hold phd's and yet the school insists on us calling them by their first name. This creates are more casual and friendly relationship between teacher and student and makes for an easy and comfortable learning environment. The staff and students at this school are friendly and welcoming, everyone respects each other because they're all here for the same reasons. The students here are all like minded and dedicated, and being around so many like minded driven individuals inspires us all to work hard and take pride in our work and learning. The school has a big emphasis on learning over achievement' I've seen many schools and teachers religiously chant this but only the ASMS live up to it. Despite the schools comfortable laid back, 'learning over achievement' atmosphere, the students are all high achievers because they are thought to develop as learners and as people, not just to chase a good grade. The staff go well out of their way to ensure that you are supported, comfortable, have friends and fit in. The ASMS have their priorities straight, and have created a learning environment where learning is an enjoyable and exciting process, rather than a chore as most schools do. The ASMS is an amazing school with amazing staff who are dedicated to providing a top notch, relevant, future-proof education, the curriculum is innovative and refreshing, the community is friendly, welcoming and supportive, and the facilities are great, far better than any government school. Truly cannot emphasize how amazing this school is. The ASMS is on point, and unmatched by any other school in Adelaide

As a new student this year I must say my time at ASMS has been wonderful, for the first time in years I have felt excited to go to school. At first it was a hard transition especially since I was going into year 12. However, all I can say now is I wish I came here sooner. I'm happy to finish my schooling here ud83dude42.
