Yami Japanese Restaurant

My heart is broken. I was a loyal patron of this restaurant from the week it opened. I ate a meal here at least once a week. The ownership seems to have completely shifted and upon calling in an order, I was greeted with half the menu being unavailable, and a plethora of staple menu items being removed. The prices have increased and the quality and serving size have decreased. The food is still okay, but nothing will compare to the OG Yami. ud83dudc94ud83dudc94ud83dudc94

My favourite place ever!!! Food is consistently amazing, and I have frequented this place regularly over 2 years. Highly recommend the pan-fried prawn gyoza, big crunchy chicken rolls and karaage don.nThe female staff who are at the counter are so friendly and we always end up having a chat!

New menu and owners the old food tasted better. Also the soy sauce is sweet and no chilli to go with it and no tuna rolls anymore

Pretty good! Decent flavours, plenty of things to try in the bento boxes. Most of it was very good quality, although there are a few non- Japanese things in there. The menu is quite limited but still enough to be worth it. Karaage chicken bento was packed but the teriyaki salmon one could have done with more salmon.

The rice and all the food we tried so far is too sweet... it tastes more like a sweet dessert type thing than savory food.
