I found my experience at this school to be disappointing as my Mum went to many PnC meeting to learn about the school just to make me get in as I live out of catchment. During my time there the teachers and students weren't the best. The teachers could not keep control of the students and the students were disrespectful. Bullying was also a problem as I was tormented a lot and when I told the teachers they took several weeks to respond to the situation just for me to be called a snitch by the person who was tormenting me. I found it very difficult to do work or concentrate when a specific student was being extremely loud and the teacher never really did anything about it. I hope MHSSC sees this and helps the problem because I know another student who was in my classes who also moved schools because of these problems.
So far, so good. Teachers and staff are friendly. The PE teacher in particular is very funny.nWith a musical background we are hoping even though the building is not yet built, that the opportunities will still be available.nAlso hoping they add a top academic class!nnUpdate.. We now have a few music groups available including a school band! I've also heard we are currently building a performing arts center and restaurant for hospitality students!
Wonderful school so far! Our daughter loves it. My only concern is the absence of school lockers of any kind. A lockable pigeon hole at least. She has complained about back pain from having to carry her bag everywhere with her filled with books. Hoping that lockers are in the future buildings, if so I will alter my review.
