Our children have been attending The Lakes College since 2013 and we could not be happier with the level of education, care and support they receive from the dedicated teachers throughout the years. The close community feel that TLC has nurtured over the years is just amazing. We can not wait to see the rest of our kids school years out at The Lakes College ⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f⭐ufe0f
We have been in this school for over 7 years, we have 3 children in there, both in primary and secondary, and we love it. Our kids love every minute and every aspect of their school experience at TLC, they are involved in a wide range of activities, including the beloved Dance Troupe, and it is all amazing (including the leader of the dance troupe who is in fact a real teacher and an outstanding one at that ;) - in reference to one of the posts above).nnYes, it is a relatively new school, and relatively small, but this is exactly why it is so special: it is a really close-knit community. Every leader and every teacher knows every student and their parents, parents and siblings know each other, even the school's chef has an amazing relationship with the kids. And it is priceless for our family.nnI understand that some people had a different experience, or that they have other priorities when it comes to choosing a school for their kids, you obviously can't please everyone, but this is my two cents. I highly recommend The Lakes College, it's been the perfect choice to our family.
It took me long time to find a suitable high school for son. I am very happy with the Lakes College. The communication approach the school used is very effective for parents to know what their children are learning , their learning issues and progress. The school has very good academic record.nnThe school has good tuck shop and wonderful teachers as well.
Wonderful school. Outstanding academic results. Dedicated and kind teachers and staff. A caring and safe community.
Our time at the lakes was short lived.nAfter moving interstate from a state school we chose a private schools in the hopes for a better education for our child.nThe reality, was an experience far less than we expected.nnThe school on a whole makes great effort to build a 'community' feel but this isn't followed through very well. From our experience there is a culture of unhappy parents. We stayed less than a year before deciding to move on. I felt my child wasn't challenged - nor was the time taken to understand her individual strengths and weakness'. Since deciding to leave I have come across multiple other families making the same move. And more who will decide once the new year starts in the hopes their experience will significantly improve.nI've heard of (and experienced once) for example, children being belittled in front of other parents and classmates and children being denied water!nnThere are wispers and controversy within the school. Previous google reviews have been deleted, and support just isn't there for students or parents.nnDon't go to them with an issue, it'll be swept under the rug, ignored, or you'll be labelled as a trouble maker or 'that parent'nnComing from a public school we expected a lot more, but got significantly less.
