This company used to be great till few months ago. I listed my car for 2+ months and got the car back more than 6 weeks ago. But the payment has not come to my account yet. I am not sure what is happening with this company as the website is not active and the customer support phone number is not working.
I am still waiting for the payment owed to Scott O’Neill and I from the hire of our vehicle in Sydney in 2018. I have called, emailed and contacted on social media. Car Hood have ignored every single contact. Do not use this company as they have stolen from us and will steal from you. A Current Affair also highlighted many issues they have with not paying customers when there are accidents, and they hire your car out to criminals etc. Avoid at all costs!!!
Edited to add: After a year (plus) of no response, I received a reply email today (not too long after I posted this review, funnily enough). Let me be clear that this was the first and only reply I have had to any communication in over a year of trying to contact. The reply I got contained identical wording to the business owner’s response to this review, so at least they’ve got their lines down pat. Now to see whether they will put their money where their mouth is and actually pay the invoice outstanding for over a year.
It was easy to pick up the car. I just needed to call for pick up and wait outside the airport terminal. The staff picked me up in about 10 minutes and drove me to their office to do the paperwork. Everything was done quickly and I had no issue with the car. Returning was efficient as well. Again, the staff drove me to the airport after I returned the car. Although it took slightly longer than other car rental companies based inside airport terminal, the price is also much cheaper. I think it's a good value choice if you are not tight on time. The staff were friendly as well.
Excellent service, I was a leaser and there were absolutely no hassles, my car has never been cleaner, I didn't have to pay for parking and on top of that I earned some money. I will use again everytime I fly out. Mark was great!
Seriously bad service from this car rental. Firstly this company just deducted the damages cost straight from my credit card without even sending email to notify there's charges and still expect customer to keep chasing carhood to reply to chase for the damage invoices. 1 respond can take up to 5days to reply and sometimes they don't even reply despite multiple emails to chase them. Overall, just feel they should improve their services.
