Tankk Gourmet Fish and Chips

Ordered 2 x Hake Fish with batter last night through the Online order. The Service was easy & pickup time spot on. However I was disappointed with the quality of the fish; the fish were dry and rubbery. Just tasted stale. It was better quality fish when they first started.

We got fish and chips here tonight (on Monday and Tuesday they have a $10 special for fish and chips plus an extra item - fried squid ring, dimsim, crabstick or pineapple) the fish and chips were nice, the batter was light and crispy, and the chips were well cooked, maybe in a very thin coat of beer batter? They were well seasoned and stayed pretty crunchy even after they got cold. We also got a fried feta, salad which is a bit different. It was battered in the same mixture add the fish and in decent sized chunks.nnThe shop itself is quite small with a few tables inside, so you can dine-in, most people seemed to order takeaway. They have connect four, and Uno to play while you wait or eat. I think they usually have a slushie machine where you can serve yourself while you wait too, but it's been taken away because of covid.nnWe ordered online for a set pickup time. There's lots of options when you order for example you can specify how cooked you like you chips, the kind of salt/chicken salt and the amount, if you want vinegar or without. Service was really efficient and friendly.nnThere's several parking bays at front of the shop as well as across the road that are really convenient.

Just ordered the $10 Monday & Tuesday special - it was enough to feed two of us and was fresh and yum! We will be back for sure.

Tried this place a few weeks ago with some friends, as our usual fish and chip place was closed for renovations. The 4 of us all thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips, excellent quality food and really delicious! Friendly staff who greeted us when we arrived at the shop. Also loved the free slushies! We will definitely be back again soon!nnI have been back to Tankk Gourmet Fish and Chips a few more times and again, the food was excellent each time. Met up with the same friends a couple of weeks ago and tried the Tankk burger, absolutely delicious! Also shared a container of pickled octopus which was also delicious!
