Balga Fish & Chips Cafe

I normally try to provide a balanced view and cover both the good and the bad. The only caveat here is that I'm only passing through Perth so this is a one-off review.nnGiven that ... I bought the Seafood Basket.nnThe chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The prawns were large and juicy and tasty. The other fish items were equally tasty. Even the batter was (thin as it should be and) crisp and tasty (so they use something in addition to the more usual bland flour and water). So 5 stars from me.nn... and the serving was too much for me so the local birds ended up replete too.

So its Good Friday, and the shop is heaving with customers. The staff are working their magic and turning out excellent food under all this pressure. We waited patiently for our order while other customers were being rude and impatient. To those reading this review, this is the best fish and chip shop in our area. Our order was crispy, light, and red hot. Before future customers think about being rude, remember that to get quality you have to be patient and kind.

I was a regular customer would buy weekly and then today the girl on the phone messed my order up and gave me a beef sausage instead of a piece of fish I was happy to wait for the fish to be cooked but asked for fresh chips ($3 worth) as by the time I got home from there the chips would be cold as the chips were already there 10 mins another 10 mins to get home they refused to give me fresh chips and the older lady pretty much abused me because I was pretty frustrated that they were going to make me pay for cold chips not my fault they can't understand English properly and messed up the order. Customer service 0 rating absolutely disgusting the way she responded to someone wanting fresh chips

Love this fish n chip shop. Awesome customer service. Definitely my go to.
