Hog's Breath Cafe Geraldton

We looked this place up online while travelling back to Perth and were hopefull the 3.7 rating was too harsh, Unfortunately its too generous. We were instantly confronted by a lady who I assume is the owner demanding we sign in on our app which we were about to do anyway... No friendly greeting here I'm afraid. Got seated at a booth and instantly noticed the dirty smell that wofts through the place, order was taken promptly and drinks/meals delivered not long after which was great. The food though was a different story, we ordered the steak and cheese burger and the beef burrito for lunch. While I was reluctantly nibbling at my burger I did wonder if the people actually making/selling this food ever actually take the time to taste it. I could ramble on about the food but bullet points are. Steak was the texture of plastic, cheese sauce was something I thought no one could stuff up but I was proven wrong, fries were cold, overcooked and bland. I have more gripes about this place but you get the idea, so very disappointing and frustrating.

This review for new Kai Lani Cafe on the Geraldton Foreshore - was redirected to Hog’s Breath. Food/drinks gets 2 stars but giving 3 because it’s so new. Usual growing pains. Staff seemed nice but didn’t know much about the menu. Asked if we can get a cheese burger. Answer: sure but cheese is extra. Ordered the BLT Burger with cheese. Burger usually means there’s a patty (beef, chicken, etc.). Nope. It’s a BLT sandwich served on a potato bun. My bad. Coffee was very weak... it was more like coffee flavoured almond milk. Again. It may be due to its newness. Hopefully, kinks will be sorted as it’s wonderful to have more hot food choices on the Foreshore.

Fantastically happy staff! Loved the nicknames - we were served by “Not Gonna Lie”. Great food & great vibe in the restaurant. We will definitely return! :)

This Hogs Breath sealed the the deal with my family and I never to go to Hogs Breath ever again. Kids meals small. The wifes salad came out looking like a military meal and what I mean is salad was not combined, different elements where just plonked on different parts of the plate. My steak no seasoning, vegetables where mush. No vouchers not even there own membership was valid to use.

Bit pricey but service is good, friendly staff. Food can sometimes be a hit or miss
