Was sold 2 3 day passes for the trains in Brisbane. Using the Translink cards they worked on the train to the city and worked the next day. After that they no longer worked. I had the last day planned to go to the sunshine coast which the gentleman told me would be covered all the way to Noosa without any issues. When the cards didn't work I called Translink who said they couldn't do anything over the phone so I needed to contact the original sellers. While I those cards didn't work i had to purchase 2 $45 cards to get to Noosa and back. The day after I took the train back to the airport and spoke to the employees there. I was shuffled between a few of them who all seemed miserable and didn't want to help me. They then took my info down, said they would email me in a few days and should just refund me on my card that I provided for them. It has been over 2 weeks I still haven't heard back and still have received no refund. I guess since they knew I was traveling back via the airport to Sydney they had no need to help me and just humored me by taking down all my info. Terrible experience, don't ever buy the 3 day or 5 day passes. Both mine and my friends both stopped working after 1 day.
Edit: It did take over a month, but they have refunded half my ticket price.
The current arrivals pick-up area at the International terminal requires a security presence. Absolutely no-one is following any of the recommendations on any of the regulatory signs that clearly state if your passenger is not in the area awaiting collection, then you must move along. Perhaps some more signs in a language other than english may also assist the process.
I really want to say the people working at the security check area really need to get some Jesus in their life. They look miserable and very rude to everyone. Yes I am a Chinese and a lot of my fellow countryman may have given them negative experiences in the past, for that my deep apology. as my country education level are still quite low. A lot of my people in my country are still working at minimum wage of $AUD1 per hour. A good reason for not knowing manner and culture oversea.
However Australian who work especially for immigration are university graduate should know what is manner and professionalism. And most likely you would have travel oversea and should understand every country have their own culture. My point is the day when you sign up the job to work at an international airport, you will experience in handling people that is
-less educated
- didn’t have the opportunity to learn western manners
And I must say it is the worst way for people in this airport to Handle travellers with more rudeness and yelling. People who are well educated and have a decent job working at the airport should show less fortunate people who travel in Australia with more kindness and well manner.
Great international airport. No wonder BNE wins so many awards
This train station is fantastic if you're going to the airport or leaving from the airport. I guess a downside would be if you were in fact trying to travel elsewhere.
