I made a complaint against this Drs poor attitude after my appointments with him. He then sent a letter to my Dr and a copy to me complaining about it. He also stated I remove my comments from Google otherwise I couldn't see any pain specialist in Perth. The absolute arrogance of this man. To think he can stop me seeing any other specialist because of an honest rating. I wonder if he said the same thing to all the other people who complained about him and left poor ratings. There's a fair few. The complaint I sent to the hospital about his attitude pretty much fell on deaf ears as well. But it is amusing that he whinged about the complaint to my Dr. Poor man. A poor excuse for a dr

Dr John Akers has been my "pain management" Dr, for about 🤔 the last 7 years or so. I became partially paralyzed after a 2nd car accident & several spinal surgeries, so i was left with constant nerve pain. Thankfully, my Surgeon introduced me to one of the kindest & most respectable Pain management Drs I'd ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr Akers believed in "my explanation" of the pain i was in (unlike some) & always tried to work out the safest way for me to medicate if necessary, while making sure I did what I could to stay healthy & as drug free as possible. I was encouraged to keep moving, eat healthy & excersise but not beyond my limitations & to even try natural forms of pain relief, which I did "All, while allowing me to have, & trusting me to take, the stronger pain medication that suited me best, when I needed it" weather it was an S8 medication or not. Unfortunately, I have recently moved away from Western Australia, so my search begins again for a Dr that will trust my explanation of the pain I suffer daily as Dr Akers did.

Very rude and arrogant. Do not recommend at all. Honestly think he shouldn’t be practicing with an attitude like his.

Not helpful. Told my husband he looks like a cancer patient. Contradictory information given.
