PROs Dr Salfinger was referred to me by a friend who saw him during WA covid restrictions. She said with the COVID slow down, they had all the time to give her the deserved attention for critical hysterectomy surgery. But that all came apart after lifting of COVID restrictions. She received little after care and minimal attention-quite different from her consult. They seem to know what they're doing but you're made afraid to ask questions by both the Dr and his staff. CONS --You can only divine that Dr Salfinger is an expert as you're immediately given the vibe that his time is limited. In my 1st appointment, I told him how nervous I was about this major life decision. But he was unmoved and didn't even bother responding. --There is an arrogance which can be overlooked but it's the uncaring demeanour which was quite a shock to me. He says as little as possible , makes it very clear too many questions are not welcomed and basically waits for you to give a date for the hysterectomy on the basis you just blindly accept he's an expert. --He never once mentioned the word hysterectomy-I had to ask. --His staff Sisters/nurses are in such a rush they barely spent time with me after the consult to arrange this major operattion and in fact the Sister stood up mid -sentence stating she had to leave to help Dr Salfinger. She left me sitting there without even an apology. --The receptionist is over worked and wholly impatient . She just wanted to get rid of me as quickly as possible. --You basically feel nothing has changed since back in the day..It's a hysterectomy processing factory and Dr Salfinger just seemed, wel,l bored and disinterested. -I still have so many questions and I need more assurances. I called after the consult and tried talking to his nurses/sister staff but it's clear they're busy and have little time for individual attention. - It was obvious from waiting over an hour in the reception for the consult with Dr Salfinger, they're in the business of signing up as many patients as possible for surgery. Patients were streaming in and processed through short appointment times. Dr Salfinger should think about giving every patient the proper time they deserve: from the initial consult to the aftercare processes. Yes he'll have less patients but at least that's ethically the right thing to do.

REVIEW FOR DR JADE ACTON. I absolutely hated Gyno's; not that I had been to one. I always found them intimidating, weird and what I thought, very invasive. I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy with Dr Jade Acton undertaking the surgery following a few consults. I went from a nervous anxious wreck at my first appointment to actually thinking Dr Acton is the absolute bomb! Not only was her consults and surgery AAA+, I woke up without pain and felt completely untouched. She was very patient as I can be erratic when nervous about things and was so professional yet has a personal touch I think with each of her referrals/patients, accommodating each personality individually. I have referred her to anyone that mentions they think they need Gynae surgery. It's been just over 6 weeks and I feel really good and still pinch myself I'll never have another period or period pain.....yay!!! She has seriously changed my life; I mean that. My period DICTATED my life and had many consequences of missing out on things during my lifetime. Now that I've had this surgery my life is so good, and so are my moods; as in, I don't get them. Thumbs up to an amazing Dr who does amazing work. Dr Acton's nurses and staff are also a bunch of good eggs. I only dealt with Dr Acton but noticed the other staff and Dr's in there seemed nice and friendly too. I wouldn't recommend any other than this practice. Thank you forever changing my life; I only wish I had done this sooner!!!

Dr Salfinger And all his staff were truly fabulous during a very stressful time for me His communication and explanation were very reassuring for me as well as the professionalism and kindness said I was shown. I would also like to thank his exceptional staff who made my appointments and guided me through the hospital stay and surgery making it less stressful all round. I have a very positive outcome from something that could have been truly frightening - my treatment was managed with the upmost care.

Dr Salfinger is a fabulous Doctor. He is polite and kind and explains things in great detail. In hospital he comes to see you before your op and straight after when your out of theatre, then again later that day to check up on you. He sat down and spent a while discussing options with me and my family. I can see some patients have complained of arogance. I definitely haven’t had any experience of arogance from Dr Salfinger. He happily will sit down with you and discuss all of your concerns. He was amazing with my family. Has always made me feel at ease.
