The Squid Shack

Bought fish from the shop and thoroughly enjoyed it. The crispy batter was very tasty and the fish had a yummy slight lemony flavour. The shack is near the ocean and we enjoyed good views

We ordered a fisherman and a fish cake for two people, the size is really enough. The fish and prawns are nicely crispy but too oily. The squid didn't peel the skin, so it affect texture. I don't really like the fish cake, It's a bit tacky.

Not a place I'd recommend anyone to go there. Although there were a good number of customers. The food didn't live up to expectations Sadly.nI hope they address the issues with their food. I must add that I've never felt this way about take away food before. We in actual fact threw away a large portion of our meal.

Hugely over priced, the squid and chips ($16) was about 8 tiny pieces of squid and some soggy chips that tasted like the oil was burned / very old.nThe fisherman's basket ($35) was pretty average as well, the prawns and flathead both tasted really old, far from fresh.nCustomer service was pretty average, not rude, just disinterested.nI won't be back.

Was rather disappointed. Fish (local shark) was good, chips average, and squid was way overcooked
