Lake Grace Hotel Motel

Called in for a drink. As we entered through the main door we can smell strong musty odour. We had a pint but we could not drink it quick enough because of the unpleasant smell . The tiled floor is black and the carpet so filthy. We can see the thick build up of black dirt between the edge of the carpet and tiles. All the furniture so outdated and messy. Looks like never been cleaned for years. We felt sick. So unhygienic. We are not sure how this pub/motel is still running with it's poor unhygienic condition. We don't feel comfortable to drink let alone if we have to eat at this place. This place needs big help from Restaurant Impossible. Avoid!

Visited for dinner only. Cold ambiance- even colder air temperature inside (12C -7.5C windchill outside). No heating and no interest in start heaters. Pool table surface in desperate need of cleaning. Small TV in large lounge bar. Multiple lights not working. Disappointing country pub experience. Won’t be back.

Outside temp was 11C (wind chill 7.5C) - but no heating in the pub and no interest in starting the gas heaters or wood heater. It was very cold and unpleasant for dinner. Dinner was plain and expensive - no salad bar in sight. Small home TV in the large lounge area. Pool table in desperate need of cleaning. 20% of the lighting was not working and needed replacement lights. Was a memorable country pub - but for the wrong reasons.

Went for a drink at 3pm on a Tuesday - the whole place was empty & in darkness, bars obviously closed & unpleasant smells emanating from dining room. As we were walking out, a young girl appeared & opened up the front bar for us. She was very friendly & hospitable but the whole hotel was far from inviting. Such a shame as the only other place to eat out in Lake Grace appeared to be the roadhouse. Needless to say, we organised our own dinner in our accommodation.
