Duke's Inn

Christmas meal for our party of 15 was superb. Very well presented and delicious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The pub was busy but everyone was happy with the meal and we will certainly be back.

We stayed here for night before the windward balloon ride. The staff were friendly and helpful when booking and checking In. The hotel is done up beautifully and with a gorgeous wine garden. Dinner was great. The rooms look great, my husband and I stayed in the ensuite room across the road which are brand new (highly recommended). My sister in law was in the stables and she said her room was nice, though my mum and brother stayed up stairs. The room was comfortable but be aware that they woke up due to noisy floorboards of everyone else walking to the toilet down the hallway (which is expected in an old hotel.)

Great place to stay. Fantastic accommodation in new chalets. Great food and service. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice little hotel. We took the I bedroom cottage that came with a kitchenette. The outdoor private alfresco was a pleasant surprise. Couple of things could be better like the water pressure and hot/cold water control was difficult. It was also peculiar that the wardrobe was in the kitchenette lol. We also had dinner in their restaurant, I tried their recommended Orchid Apple cider, it was quite nice. Order lamb shank, it was well done but dry. Wife commented that it could be precook and reheated. The vegetables and peas that came with it was instead undercooked. Was not up to my taste. Service was friendly. Aside from the cons, the missus loved the room so I am happy.

Didn’t stay, but ate dinner. Fabulous steak sandwich and burgers. Dog friendly and gluten free options. Loved it!
