Secure Parking - Valley Metro Car Park

I didn't realize there was somewhere I could leave a comment until now or I would have done this months ago. When Covid was in full swing I had a specialist appointment in the city I couldn't miss but didn't want to travel far in the train because of fear of infection. I am older and nervous about driving into the city so decided to drive to the valley station park so I only had to catch the train for one station. I was in the parking spot 2hrs 15mins and was horrified to find I had to pay $52.00. I pressed the button at the pay station as I thought it must have been a mistake but to my dismay that was the amount payable. I guess I should have checked before parking there but have used them in the past and thought maybe $30.

Entrance off Alfred Street is a nightmare when busy. The peak hour trains mean a constant stream of people crossing right where the boom gates open. Bring a good book most mornings.

Well priced, handy for Fortitiude Valley and the Gasworks area if you are staying in a hotel this is probably cheaper than their parking and I like that there is a pedestrian path, a lot of car parks in the city make it hard to walk out at street level safely if you don't want this lift into the shopping centre.

Have been using Secure parking and Valley Metro for over 15 years, mixed opinion as there have been hit and miss issues on and off through the years, last night was the worst... booked online for early bird parking, this was because of a train issue ( am on the Cleveland Line....need I say more...), with the traffic was obviously running late, the entry ramp is a steep upward curve with no rear visibility through Alden Street, rocked up and it wouldn't accept the code provided, with cars waiting behind me -ended up taking a ticket. Called them from work was bumped around and was finally told the code would work on the way out, lo and behold - code not working, finally used the ticket as was in the exit lane - was charged $65. I pulled over outside and called them, the person who picked up tried to help but was out of her depth,she spoke to her manager who didn't know anything either, was told to do it online, the site kicks you out at the end of after you complete the the form stating- Denied? guess this is the end of that relationship, am moving to the city next week and need to find a new monthly parking place, if you have any suggestions other than Secure, would be appreciated, frankly - you are better off giving these guys a miss
