Had a fun catch up with a group of friends last Saturday night.nWe decided to go for the buffet at $35 per person.nThere was a reasonable selection to choose from and everyone had plenty to eat. The food looked nice and tasted good as well.nThe staff were friendly and kept our drinks topped up.nIt wasn’t very busy which meant we could actually hear the others at our table.nThere’s limited street parking out front.

Well made mostly indian food with some malaysian dishes plus BYO wine

While the front of house staff were very friendly and professional (took the price of our bread off the bill when we complained), the food was overall really disappointing. Chicken was crazy dry and sauce sickly sweet. The paratha was doughy and thick and still raw in the middle (hence having it taken off our bill). The table water tasted like it had been stagnant for 6 months (had that gross fridge taste). The Goat Masala was pretty good but nevertheless I wouldn't recommend this place.

Friendly service went with a group of 9 other people and the beef korma and coconut rice was very delicious and cheap too

Contrary to every other Indian restaurant, Cinnamon Vic Park seems to be on a crusade to redefine what are acceptable spice levels for what should be standard curries to the point that they became inedible, at least for the dishes I ordered. Curries that should be mild in taste for example instead provide one the unique experience of feeling what it is like to have someone poke a lit blow torch into your mouth making sure your lips are included in the simulation. The naan bread though probably the largest and thickest I have ever seen tasted like someone made it with a few cups of sugar. It is amazing my mouth did not spontaneously produce great globules of oozing molten toffee. AVOID!
