The salesperson was polite, patient and the process of purchasing the car was hassle free. It's a pity the inspection and preparation of the car was not as expected. I chose an established dealer because I expected a quality used car. I was told the car would be inspected by JMC and it would be given a service in accordance with the manufacturer's service schedule. JMC replaced the worn tyres as promised and serviced the car. However, I was not given or shown any document to show the inspection carried out by JMC and the service booklet shows that the service was only an oil change. As per the schedule, the air filter and fuel filter are due for replacement and these are important service items for a diesel car. A week after I collected the car, I checked the fluid levels and found the coolant needed a top up and the power steering fluid was below the minimum mark. The engine oil was below the MAX level but I found the reason why; a very bad oil leak. I will be sending the car to my regular workshop for a proper service and a proper inspection. I will also have to fix the leak. I should have sent the car for a pre-purchase inspection. I'm disappointed with JMC.
