22 minutes up one way fm the car park. Not the best of times but first time visit and didn't know what to expect. Sometimes you have to be one with the rock. It's not just a hike, this would encompass a climb as well sometimes on all fours. Wear a really good pair of rock climbing shoes (or good grip) and get ready to slide down the rocks at some part of the descend. Can be challenging first time up but it echoes for another come back till you perfect the time. I would like to try running up from the town and time myself one day. Could be the worst time recorded in history but at least we say we tried it ud83dude05

Starting point for the trail up Mt Cooroora. Make sure you have water and good shoes for the climb/scramble. Once the walking trail ends the climb begins. It gets steep very quickly but there are steps in most places and a chain link you can use to help. The rocks are covered in dust and can be slippery so make sure of your footing, particularly the higher up you get.nnOnce at the top the view is amazing and worth all the effort to get there. Best to do it early in the morning specially in summer.

Climbing Mt Cooroora is very challenging for the novice. Take around 45mins to a hour at a slow pace. Very rocky and steep in some sections. Plenty of rest areas on the way up to enjoy the view. Make sure you take a water bottle an a snack to make the best of the climb. A great way to enjoy the weekend and get some exercise at the same time.
