Beautiful Mosque with a Fortress Wall. Surrounded all around the Hill! Love the View and the Road to the Fortress isn't so bad, with many signs explaining the History of the Fort and the Mosque! Recommended to check out if visiting Cazin!!

The old town of Cazin was founded in the Middle Ages, in the inner city of Cazin, Bosnia and Herzegovina. First, a medieval fortress with four towers was built on the plateau. On the steep terrain, around the entire fortress in the Ottoman period, new ramparts were built, so the whole fortress has an area of 5 hectares. In 1576, a mosque was built on the site of the present one, within the ramparts of a medieval fortress. It was demolished in 1879. In the same year, a new one was built, originally with a wooden minaret, which was one of the largest mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to Kreševljaković, 2,000 people worshiped in it. The old town of Cazin with its mosque has been declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina
