The construction of the temple began in 1908. The foundations were consecrated by Metropolitan Evgenije Letica, but the date of consecration is unknown. It is built of stone, measuring 16 × 10 m, covered with copper, the dome is above the sole and has a bell tower with two bells. The construction was completed in 1911, and the following year, 1912, the Metropolitan of Zvornik and Tuzla, Ilarion Radonjić, consecrated the temple. The temple is not picturesque, and the iconostasis made of oak wood is handmade in woodcarving by Rade Pantić from Milić, made in 2002. The icons were painted by the academic painter Miodrag Šumarac from Belgrade. After 1950, all registry books were confiscated under the pretext of copying them, but they were never returned. The parish home was built in 1976, measuring 10 × 10 m and has a ground floor and a first floor. Svetosavski dom was built from 2001 to 2006 and covers an area of 280 square meters. In the gate next to the temple, there is a facility for lighting candles, built in 1996, and consecrated by Bishop Vasilije on August 14, 2006. There are three memorial plaques on the temple itself: two on the west wall on the outside and one in the temple on the north wall, and on these plaques are the names of the contributors and benefactors of the temple. There is a children's choir near the temple, led by archpriest-staurophore Dušan Spasojević. The Serbian charity and cultural-educational association "St. Vasilije Ostroški", founded at the founding assembly on January 31, 2008, also operates within the church community. The society is engaged in humanitarian work and providing assistance and care to those who are imprisoned in prisons throughout BiH due to their participation in the Defense and Patriotic War 1992-1995. years, as well as providing assistance to their families. The society also organizes spiritual academies and tribunes, concerts and the like. The president of the society is archpriest-staurophore Dušan Spasojević ... Source: "Wikipedia" ...
