Not many books for young people as in not many books from this millennium. But, on the other hand, who's truly interested in good books , there's a large selection of the finest books ever writen, more then you would expect from such a small town . Ranging from Miguel de Cervantes to the Russian kings of poetry, Nabokov, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky , Pushkin etc. All can be found here, mostly in Serbian ofcourse. There is also a quite large space for reading and studying.

The Filip Višnjić Public Library is located at Trg Kralja Petra I Karađorđevića in Bijeljina. After the end of the First World War, in 1919, there was a need for organized cultural and educational activities in the area of Bijeljina and Semberija. In that period, the Society for Public Education and Preservation of Public Health was established, within which the Central Library with a network of rural libraries began to operate. The official library activity began in 1932 with the founding of the Library. It changed its name over time, and has been operating under the current one since 1958. It was named after the poet and guslar Filip Višnjić, who is originally from Semberija.
Today, the Filip Višnjić Public Library represents the main library for the area of the municipalities: Bijeljina, Ugljevik and Lopare. It consists of 2 public libraries, 25 school libraries, 2 faculty libraries and 2 university libraries. The Department of the National Library in Bijeljina is organized in several reading rooms: General Reading Room, Student Reading Room, Children's Corner, and Reading Room intended for blind and partially sighted people. The fund at its disposal numbers over 100,000 books and manuscripts. Since 2010, the project Digitization of the native fund, old and rare books has been implemented in this institution.
Everyone who loves books and reading should go into the library at least once and find a book for their soul.
She saved me during school days, because the lectures are all in many copies. Every praise for workers, choice of books and ambience! Both the eldest and the youngest have a choice, even rare books. Whoever can go and donate books that he no longer needs.
