The elementary school in Šekovići was officially founded in May 1958 under the name "VI Eastern Bosnian Brigade", although its work began after the end of the war in 1946. Since 1983, the Primary School "Neđo Pekić" from Papraţa and the Primary School "Jovan Dučić" from Tisţa are losing the status of independent primary schools and becoming regional schools. By decision of the Assembly of the Municipality of Šekovići, July 7, 1993, the elementary school "VI East bosnian brigade" was named "Jovan Dučić". It now has its regional nine-level divisions in Papraqi and Tisza and the five-level regional department in Javor. Primary school today attends about 600 students classified in 37 divisions
