The Old Jewish Cemetery is an example of the religious and cultural diversity of BiH and more specifically of Sarajevo. It's a little tricky to get there. You have to look at the GPS of the cell phone, but it is only about 25 minutes walking from the historic center. Many tombstones have inscriptions in Spanish of the Sephardic Jews expelled from Spain in the 17th century, who still retained the Spanish language. It has magnificent views of the city, reminiscent of the most famous images of the siege of Sarajevo of the 90's.

A place not much named in the guides and not easy to reach, it deserves the visit to understand some moments of the conflict, with the border that ran near this place and from which snipers fired, as well as to deepen the oldest history of the city and the its populous Jewish community (it is the second largest Jewish cemetery in Europe). To get to walk from the center: walk the river bank to the bridge Suada and Olga (remember the first two victims of the conflict), cross it and going up next to the petrol station turn left into via Gabriele Moreno Locatelli (where a plaque commemorates this Italian boy, victim of this war). After the underpass, you will see the entrance to the cemetery
