The Cathedral Temple of the Resurrection of the Lord in Capljina –of 1911 and 1992 year
The Capljina Parish is located in the valley of the Neretva River, more precisely along the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. It covers the area from Žitomislić, through Ljubuški, crossing the border with Croatia to Metković. On the other side there are settlements on the Dubrava plateau inhabited by Serbs.
The seat of the parish is in Capljina. On the territory of the municipalities of Capljina, Neum and Stolac, it includes settlements in which there are Orthodox inhabitants: Gornje Hrasno, Gabela, Klepci, Prebilovci, Tasovcici, Gradina, Grabovina, Rečice, Lokve, Opličići, Trijebanje and Kozice and the town of Čapljina where the Saborni hram is located. The Church and its clergy shared the fate of the people in this region. As far as it is known, before the Second World War, Vaso Medan and Ljubomir Hajdinovic (martyred killed in 1941 in Hutovo and thrown into the pit) served in this parish. After the Second World War, the parish was served by Father George Grujica, born in Gacko. The Communist government closed it in 1946 and persecuted the parish in Serbia. His father comes from Stevan Vučković from Montenegro who later changed Žitomislić slaughterers until 1957 when Jorge Đorđo Radović, who is on parish until 1965, is in charge of the parish.
