The oldest Orthodox church is the Church of the Ascension in Koprivna, built in 1874. The construction of the oldest church in the area of ​​the municipality of Modriča is testified by the story of its creation, which the villagers pass from generation to generation. Namely, the builder of the church in Koprivna was a certain Stajo Stajic, who decided to build a church not the one approved by the then Turkish rulers, but bigger and better.
