The temple was built on the initiative of Mr. Milan Ninković from Plocnik and the faithful people of this village. Construction of the temple began on 19 September 2003. The works on this temple were led today by the late priest archpriest-staurophore Ratko Vračević, and his work was completed by the archpriest's deputy archpriest-staurophore Mirko Nikolić from Doboj. After the Holy Liturgy, the godparents of the temple were elected, Mr. Mladen Spasojevic, g. Svetislav Spasojevic, Mr. Mladjen Spasojevic and Mrs. Vera Misic. Kuma iconostasis was Mrs. Rosa Basket Mišurić. The cross, church flags and holy icons were donated, followed by a three-time procession around the temple ...
