Ismet Pozder (02/02/2021)
The Vilić, Pozder, Neretlić, Melkić and Imamović families lived in Donji Luka between the First and Second World Wars. Namely, Donje Luko frames the hill (srt) on the west side, which stretches from the village of Brda, and goes south towards the Neretva via Kamenjača, Kovačeva dol, Gornja and Donja rađuša, Kovina stijene all the way to the river Ljuta (Repišta). On the north side of Donja Luka, Travno is slaughtered by Ravno brdo (Gaja). It extends in the east-west direction. On the east side is a hill that extends to the south; from Ravna njiva, south across Križevac and Glavičin to Obor and Sastavaki (the place where Ljuta and Neretva meet). Yet Donje Luko is actually called the largest meadow in the middle. Other parts of Donji Luka as a hamlet are Krebnice, where the family of Hajdar and Smajil Vilić lived, Vina, where the family of Pozder, Pridvorac and Piskavica lived. The Neretlić family used to live in Pridvorac. The Neretlićs moved from Donji Luka and today live somewhere in Sarajevo. The courtier was sold to the family of Salih Haseta. From Salih, Pridvorac was bought by Alija Pozder. Only Donje Luka (meadow) used to belong to the Vilić family. With the departure of the Turks, the Vilićs decided to move to Sandžak first. They did that, and they sold Donje Luka to the Serbian family Sladoje, from Oblje. Sladoja, they say, plowed Donje Luka one year. He liked the fertile soil and mild climate. Milder than the one on Oblja. But it didn't last long. It seemed to him too dangerous to stay in the Lower Harbor. He sold it to the Kunić family. Donje Luka still belongs to that family. The Kunić family in Luka was the most numerous. Donje Luka was never divided. It was done as a community. Today it is decaying, sad, written and unprocessed. To share it, who knows what it would look like. This way, it will soon turn into a dense and impassable forest full of low vegetation. The Vilić family returned from Sandžak because the Turks did not stay there either. Donje Luka was never theirs again. Today, only a small part of that great good belongs to them. The Pozder family, they say, moved from Lizoperci near Jablanica, first to the village of Bojiće, and then one family to Luka. The Melkić family used to live in Donji Luka. My uncle Meho vividly remembers the beautiful girls who, when he was little, lived in Donji Luka. They probably cultivated the land of Vilić. Even today, one part is named after them, Melkić Lazina. Behind Krebnički potok there is also Hasića lazina. They say that a certain Hasan Imamović lived there. He lived for a time, and when he saw that the land in that place was barren, he left that place. He went to Sarajevo, where all the roads from this area lead.
