Great place for a solo visit and a family visit throughout the season, with excellent recommended web sound support and the support of professional museum staff. I definitely recommend a visit to this beautifully decorated, with a perfect composition of exhibits, the National Museum of Sarajevo.

An absolute must visit when in Sarajevo! There is so much history to see in this museum. It deserves a lot more promotion ans attention from what it's getting. If you're visiting Sarajevo you should dedicate some time to visit this museum, enjoy in it's great exhibits and beautiful botanical garden

well this is fairly big. There are three buildings one pretty interesting with archaeological findings. one as a folklore museum that was very nice and has reinstalled rooms from the ottoman times with beautiful woodcarvings. And one with a huge natural life collection. But the exhibition is so old that definitely needs an update urgently. maybe a good family option

This a great museum to visit. The Greece/Roman wings are great and they did a great job putting it into a time line and explaining the region history with lots of texts. The medieval part has a lot of pieces, but there could be more texts for the visitor to contextualize it. Natural history is also nice and very didactic with examples, fossils and texts.
