Orthodox Cathedral in Mostar was formerly known as Cathedral Church Eparchy of Zahumlje and Herzegovina,as part of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the period from 1873 to 1992. It was the largest church in the Balkans by the end of the 19th century. It was built in 1873 and was one of the symbols of the city of Mostar. Cathedral of the Holy Trinity was built in the period from 1863 until 1873. The temple was completely destroyed in the war of 1992. The temple has a basilica plan, with small and few openings, upgrading the Byzantine style with six uneven domes on high glass drums, which illuminated the interior. The bell tower, which was built in the Baroque style, attic with Gothic and oriental spikes and rich plastic around the hole were the stylistic features of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Mostar. The restoration of the Church of the Holy Trinity began in 2010. In the church in 1888 was buried Metropolitan Leontije Radulovic whose relics found during the 2010 restoration of the church.
