A great city and a great location. She's got a story that has come out of the history pages and is almost a reality. natural beauty never touched. Everything from the madrasa to the castle is great. The city of princes should be called a place.hir ve harika bir konum.

Travnik is a city located in the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was first mentioned in 1463 in the report of the Prince of Trogir, which is now kept in the archives of the city of Zadar. The famous travel writer Evliy eleelebi in the 18th century describes it as "a city with a thousand springs". From 1699 to 1851 it was the capital of the Bosnian Pasaluk, from which 77 viziers stood. Travnik is specific in that it is the only city in Bosnia and Herzegovina that has two clock towers. It is also the city with the most turbets in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The first thing that catches your eye as soon as you enter the city; Travnik Castle, on a steep slope, overlooking the city, was the King of Bosnia II. It was built by Tvrtko. Travnik Castle, taken by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1463, has only one entrance. It is a narrow and long bridge that passes over the moat that surrounds the castle. You can imagine how difficult it was to be captured even by just standing at the bridge. The castle was built on such a steep rock that only a mountaineer can capture it. Or the fear of Fatih Sultan Mehmet! Of course it was the second one. The castle was completely renovated after it was conquered by the Ottomans and it had a complete Ottoman fortress identity. The pentagonal castle has a high tower and a mosque that are now used as the Travnik Museum. More precisely the mosque ruin! Because in the big fire that he had at the beginning of the 20th century, the mosque was damaged and today only the minaret and ruins remain. It is possible to walk around the castle and watch the whole Travnik from a bird's eye view and spend hours. It is a magnificent castle, especially for those who love to take pictures. Be careful! Security measures are not much, the castle is steep and surrounded by high stairs.
