Bosnia and Herzegovina is extremely rich in potable, healing, mineral and thermal waters, but this resource, like many others, is neglected. Out of about 350 beds of these waters, 16 percent or 45 occurrences are used, but not the full extent, this is the result of our insolubility, ignorance and distrust. To illustrate this, I will say that to import into our country ordinary drinking water, mineral or any other that can be bottled here is the same as Saudi Arabia imported oil from Kuwait. All countries try to protect their production except for us. They are used only for spa treatment, and there are many ways to use these waters, such as the construction of wellness centers for anti-stress treatments, bottling of mineral waters, heating of residential buildings and others. For example, for the Thermal Riviera in Ilidza, which consists of a series of open and closed swimming pools, water is used from well IB2, which has 78 liters per second and 58 degrees Celsius. Only water is used up to 44 degrees, and unused goes to the Railway. They use up to 44 degrees, but then they go greenhouses, underfloor heating with heat pumps, and mushroom cultivation. It would be a real exploitation ... All of these water we have are renewable, it means there is no end to them, we will not drink them. One of the reasons why we do not use such a wealth is mighty paperwork, projects that must be done beforehand. Research permission, project, monitoring, elaborate, protection, even the final mining project should be obtained. According to our law, when you receive mineral water with a well or spring, it is treated as a coal mine ... 😨
