Public Library is a must for making a knowledge based community. It's called People's University as it creates the opportunity of lifelong learning for all groups of people. Sherpur District Government Public Library does the job very well.

District Government Public LIbrary, Sherpur is a service oriented government organization. It is governed by the Department of Public Libraries under the Ministry of Cultural Affiars, Bangladesh. Basically, it is a knowledge-based institution which enlightened our society by creating, collecting, organizing, storing and disseminating knowledge as well as ensuring the opportunity of life-long learning for all.

Sherpur district public library is one of the historic place of Sherpur. Every one come to built up their knowladge and carry on himself by fill up storage. For tthis all classes educated persons like it. There have aa good system to borrow all kinds of books. The librarian provide and contorl library policy. Here usually come all classes readers reciters students teachers. It's a cozy place. Attractive decoration. Above all every thing is fair an lively. Always think positive.
