Bara Anhik Mandir

There are three temples on the west side of the big dighi of the zamindar's house, about 100 meters west of Puthia Rajbari Lake. The temple on the south side of these is known as Bara Anhik Mandir. The construction style of the carved temple is quite interesting.

Bara Ahnik Mandir is a Hindu temple of the Puthia Temple Complex in Puthia Upazila, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. It stands next to Chauchala Chhota Govinda Mandir and faces east. Architecturally it is exceptional for Bangladesh, the only other of known existence of this type being Rajaram Mandir in Faridpur District. This place is an ancient derelict. You get lost in the stonework here. You become reminded of a glorious past of Hindu culture and civilization.

Nicw place

Very nice place to visit with family and friends. You car take car near to the Rajbari and park in front for free. There is no tickets to enter. However you can give some bucks to the caretakers if you want. This place is now used by land office. Inside there is a mandir ( Hindu temple )which is similar to Dinajpur Kantojeer mandir. Full of terracotta design mandir. There are other two mandirs also. Shiva mandir is one of the largest Shiva mandir in South Asia. The Rajbari is fully surrounded by water body, may be for security reasons that time.
