Mahesh Chandra Bhattacharya, the builder of Maheshangan was born in 1858 in a poor Brahmin family of Bittghar village under Nabinagar thana of Brahmanbaria district of Bangladesh. His father's name was Devdas Tarkasiddhartha Bhattacharya, mother's name is Rammala Devi. The argument was poor but talented scholars. Maheshchandra inherited the virtues and generosity of father and mother's character. Due to the lack of independence, only the entrance of the law was to engage in the order supply business of all the food boarding board of law college in Kolkata. After that, he had earned huge wealth by doing inhuman business in a number of business, but he did not keep those collectors. In order to be self-sufficient, to be self-reliant, to engage in philanthropic activities and to establish a strong nation of true education, establishing more than one educational institute, the identity of his pure Bengali nationalism was very rare in that era. In the 24 acres of land at Comilla's Shaktala, he built a grand Ramamala hostel named after his mother. There are now Ishwar Pathshala High School, Sri Sri Loknath Brahmachari Baba Ashram, Rammala Library, Rammala Dormitory, Nivedita Girls Nibbash, Nivedita Primary School, Bookstore Museum, Natmandir, Ayurveda Herbal Laboratories, Homeopath Stores, Sanskrit College and Baiyamagare. There is also a pond. The company is being managed without government help under a trustee board. At one time it was also known as Moheshgon's Builder's House. Currently it is associated with the name of the creator, bearing the name of Maheshangan and bearing the signature of his great work Mahesh Chandra Bhattacharya was born in 1858, passed away in 1944 AD. মহেশাঙ্গনের নির্মাতা দানবীর মহেশচন্দ্র ভট্টাচার্য্য ১৮৫৮ খ্রিষ্টা‌ব্দে বাংলা‌দে‌শের ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেলার নবীনগর থানার বিটঘর গ্রামের এক দরিদ্র ব্রাহ্মণ পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তার পিতার নাম ঈশ্বরদাস তর্কসিদ্ধান্ত ভট্টাচার্য্য, ‌মাতার নাম রামমালা দেবী। তর্ক‌সিদ্ধান্ত দরিদ্র হলেও প্রতিভাশালী পণ্ডিত ছিলেন।  মহেশচন্দ্র পিতা এবং মাতার চারিত্রিক সদগুণ ও উদারতা উত্তরাধিকারসূত্রে পেয়েছিলেন। অসচ্ছ্বলতার কারণে মাত্র এন্ট্রান্স পর্যন্ত শিক্ষালাভ করে বাঁচার নিমিত্তে কলকাতায় ‘ল’ কলেজের বোর্ডিং এর যাবতীয় খাদ্যের অর্ডার সাপ্লাই ব্যবসায় আত্মনিয়োগ করেছিলেন। এরপর ক্রমশ বিভিন্ন ব্যবসায় অমানুষিক পরিশ্রম করে বিপুল ধনসম্পত্তি অর্জন করেছিলেন, কিন্তু সেসব কুক্ষিগত করে রাখেননি। দরিদ্রসেবা, নিজে স্বনির্ভর হওয়া, জনহিতকর কাজে নিয়োজিত থাকা এবং প্রকৃত শিক্ষায় শিক্ষিত শক্তিশালী জাতি গঠনের লক্ষ্যে একাধিক শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান স্থাপন করার মধ্যে তাঁর যে বিশুদ্ধ বাঙালি জাতীয়তাবাদের পরিচয় পাওয়া যায় সেটা সেযুগে ছিল অত্যন্ত বিরল। কু‌মিল্লার শাকতলাতে ২৪ একর জমিতে তিনি মায়ের নামে বিশাল রামমালা ছাত্রাবাস নির্মাণ করেন। এখানে রয়েছে এখন ঈশ্বর পাঠশালা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়, শ্রী শ্রী লোকনাথ ব্রহ্মচারী বাবার আশ্রম, রামমালা গ্রন্থাগার, রামমালা ছাত্রাবাস, নিবেদিতা ছাত্রী নিবাস, নিবেদিতা প্রাথ‌মিক বিদ্যালয়, পুঁথি সংগ্রহশালা, নাটমন্দির, আয়ুর্বেদ ভেষজ গবেষণাগার, হোমিওপ্যাথ স্টোর, সংস্কৃত কলেজ ও ব্যায়ামাগার। এছাড়া আছে একটি পুকুর। একটি ট্রাস্টি বোর্ডের অধীনে সরকারি সাহায্য ছাড়াই পরিচালিত হচ্ছে প্রতিষ্ঠানটি। একসময় এই মহেশাঙ্গন এর নির্মাতার বাসভবন নামেও খ্যাত ছিল। বর্তমানে এটা নির্মাতার নামের সঙ্গে অঙ্গীভূত হয়ে ‘মহেশাঙ্গন’ নাম ধারণ করে তাঁর মহাযজ্ঞের কর্মকৃতিত্বের স্বাক্ষর বহন করে চলেছে। ম‌হেশচন্দ্র ভট্টাচার্য্য ১৯৪৪ খ্রিষ্টা‌ব্দে পর‌লোকগমণ ক‌রেন। ®®®
