Founder of Sri Sri Gita Ashram Temple: Acharyapada Paramahansacharya Srimat Swami Jyotishvaranandagiri Maharaj. At the time of the establishment of Sri Sri Gita Ashram Mandir, 10 percent of the land donors were the late Bipin Chandra Das and the late Ramesh Chandra Das. The first Sri Sri Gita Yajna was held in 1964 at Gupti village. In 1966, Sri Sri Gita Ashram Temple was first built at a single expense - the late Anil Chandra Das. In 2013, Sri Sunil Gita Ashram jointly donated another 10 per cent of the adjoining land - Sri Sunil Chandra Das and Sri Sushil Chandra Das. In 2016, he handed over 2 percent of the land and donated 1 percent of the land for the construction of the temple adjacent to the ashram - Shri Pranatosh Chandra Das. The Gita Yajna, which is held every year on the first Friday of the month of Chaitra, attracts the attention of thousands of pilgrims and pilgrims from home and abroad.
