The Department of Physics offers a comprehensive list of courses tailored to the individual needs of the large number of different groups of students who take them. Beyond introductory physics, extensive variety of courses are offered in the major areas of Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Waves and Optics, Quantum Mechanics, Thermal and Statistical Physics,Solid State Physics,Nuclear Physics, Modern Physics and Relativity. Many of these courses have a laboratory component as part of them. In future We will also offer a variety of laboratory courses including electronics and computational physics . The Department of Physics at University of Chittagong offers its Graduate and Undergraduate students a wide breadth of intense and stimulating courses. For graduate courses we prefer a model in which the faculty have some flexibility in what topics to cover and how to cover them. This approach keeps the courses fresh, modern, and up-to-date. Therefore, the description of graduate courses are in several forms. Each description should be viewed as an example of how the course might be taught, not as a list of required topics taught in a specific order. We enjoy close connections to physics departments of various national and international universities.
