This bank town means Agrani Bank staffs town. Most of the plots are purchased by the staffs of Agrani Bank. Major inhabitants of this town are the students of Khulna University. They used to stay here because of the proximity of the university, easy commuting, availability of transport etc. Inside the town there is a small Masjid.
