They have modernized the mosque, specially the front gate (built a huge tiled gate) completely destroying its historical outlook. They are also extending it by adding a balcony/veranda with modern architecture. It's sad.

It's a beautiful mashjid which is getting a renovation from outside. It has a pond just at the opposite of its entrance.

It is one of the oldest mosque in Bangladesh

The historic Zvin Mosque is located at Denayetpur in Raipur upazila of Laxmipur district. This interesting mosque was built in 18 on 56 percent of the land. The mosque is 110 feet long and 60 feet wide. There are 3 interesting domes on the roof of this mosque. This Zvin Mosque is built in the design of the Shahi Mosque in Delhi. The most interesting aspect of this historic mosque is the secret worship house with 3 rooms at a depth of about 25 feet below it. Its founder Maulana Abdullah used to sit in a secluded place of this place of worship and meditate on Allah. But now this place of worship has turned into a water well. There is a minaret in front of the mosque. The height of this dilapidated minaret is 25 feet. It is said that this mosque was built by the jinns in the dark of night and the jinns worshiped in this mosque for several years. In the middle of the night, the locals could hear the jinn chanting from this mosque. That is why this 150-year-old historical mosque is known as the Mosque of Zvin. How to go to the mosque of Zvin You have to go to Laxmipur first to go to Zvin Mosque from Dhaka or any part of the country. There are direct buses from Dhaka to Laxmipur. There are several buses from Saidabad bus terminal such as Albaraka, Royal, Econo, Greenland Express and Dhaka Express and many more that go directly to Laxmipur. In that case the rent will be from 450 to 650. It may take about 3-5 hours to reach Laxmipur from Dhaka. After getting off at Laxmipur, you can take local transport such as bus, CNG or autorickshaw through Raipur to the Zvin Mosque on Maulana Abul Khair Road. This mosque is located only 21 km away from Laxmipur. Where to stay There is no such arrangement for staying in Denayetpur of Laxmipur. There are no hotels or guest houses in this village. But there are several residential hotels in Laxmipur. You can also visit these hotels if you want. There are also some rest houses. If you want you can stay in these rest houses. Where to eat There is no good food hotel or restaurant in Denayetpur. But Laxmipur has a number of good food hotels, Chinese restaurants, fast food and coffee shops. You can also go to these restaurants and eat. On holidays, you can visit this historic mosque with your family or friends. Everyone, big or small, will like it very much.
