Situated at the bank of Karnaphuli river and Bay of Bengal. One of the oldest maritime institutes in Indian subcontinent. Very beautiful place.

It’s a educational Institute as well as a training centre. It’s basically trained young people in Marine profession in two sector Nautical & Engineering. After passing HSC/A level or equivalent exam people can apply. Both male and female cadet are eligible. After completing a 2 years course he/she has to go for internship in different ship for 6 months. And then back to the Academy for completing his or her B.Sc degree with 1year education. They can complete their B.Sc degree from other country/Academy also. The job sector is in the ship but they can apply others job(like BSC,Bank job,Govt. Job) after completing B.Sc. After all he/she is a B.Sc engineer. The Academy is full very net and clean.And the oldest Marine academy in Bangladesh.
