Thakurgaon Government College

Thakurgaon Government College is a traditional educational institution in the north. It is located in the heart of the district. The college was established privately in 1959 and became government on March 1, 1980. Higher secondary in 1972 and full degree pass courses were introduced here in 1983. The college offers 4 courses in Economics, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Political Science from 1998-1998, including Higher Secondary Humanities, Science, Business Education and Degree Pass (BA / BSS / BSc and BBS) courses. There are honors courses in a total of 14 subjects including History, Botany and Zoology), 2 in the 2010-2011 academic year (History and Philosophy) and 2 in the 2011-2012 academic year (Physics and Chemistry). At present twelve thousand students are studying in the college at different levels. Attendance of students in daily classes is satisfactory. A total of 14 Honors and 9 Masters (Bengali, English, Economics, Political Science, History and Culture of Islam, Accounting, Management, Botany and Mathematics) are being taught in the Humanities, Science and Commerce groups. The students of this college are achieving remarkable results in the final examinations of the Board of Education / University every year.
