Altadighee was declared a national park in 2011. This forest is a blessing of nature in a beautiful historical monument. There is a historical lake in the middle of the forest which is about one kilometer long. At the center of the Altadighee National Park is a vast Shalban forest, and on the north bank of the vast lake lies the Indian border outpost surrounded by thorns. There are innumerable shawl trees standing with the blessings of nature wrapped in leaves.

Altadighee is the name of a lake located at Dhamoirhat, Naogaon. This has become a popular tourist spot for the people of nearby districts. The lake here is about 1 km in length and few hundred meters in width. The surrounding area is covered with trees and greeneries. However security might become an issue here as the area is calm and quite. So roaming the area alone is not recommended.
