This mass killing site and Gonkobar are located in Akkelpur Upazila of Joypurhat district. In the field of Amuat village near Akkelpur sadar upazila situated in the ground floor. In 1971, 22 freedom fighters were killed here by the Pakistani army. A monument has been constructed here in memory of the martyrs. The West Amouta Maujate of Akkelpur upazila located in Goncabat. Akkelpur Upazila has great contribution in our liberation war. From here, 385 freedom fighters took part in the war. Many people here are martyred in the war of liberation. There are two people in the West Amouta Mouza. On the Victory Day and Independence Day many people came here to pay homage to the martyrs.
