Mujibur Rahman Women's College is a government college in Bogra. It was established by Mujibur Rahman Bhandari Subil Khal, a well-known industrialist and educationist of the time. About two and a half thousand years ago, Pundra Nagar (Mahasthan) was the heart of the glorious Pundra civilization. In continuity of tradition, in the basin of Karatoya river, a number of educational institutions in this city are shining like a bright star. Government Mujibur Rahan Women's College is one of them. The college was established on 31 July 1983 on the banks of Subil Canal. The company was nationalized on February 1, 1986 after being in the private sector for about 15 years. The late Mujibur Rahman Bhandari, a well-known industrialist and educationist of Bogra at that time, was one of the founders of this college. The college is named after him.

It is a very famous Women's College of Bogra under National University, it has a speciality that is it is only for women. Education quality of this Institute is excellent. Teachers are highly skilled and the performance of this college is very good.
It is the only govt. women's college in bogura city . As a light house for the women in this region it is the safe, secure , trusted place for higher education. Several thousand of inter , honour's , master's level studests are admitted every year in this college.
